Studying at UAL has enabled Morgane to develop her creative ideas and establish the foundation of an exciting future career as a designer.
“I first considered postgraduate study because I wanted to take my undergraduate studies further. I got in touch with UAL to explain my vision and ideas, and the MA Design Maker course at Camberwell College of Arts was recommended to me. After doing some further research into the course, I decided to apply!
The best part of my course is that it allows me to bring my ideas to life. I'm currently exploring Moroccan craft work; as a country, Morocco lies in-between its traditional history and modernity. I’m working on depicting this through the objects and furniture of daily life.

“The workshops at UAL are a fantastic resource where students can experiment with materials such as wood, plastic, metal and ceramics.”
Studying here has encouraged me to always try things out. You have to be ready to work with a lot of autonomy and be very curious! In turn, this has allowed me to create a strong, unique identity that I can build my business from.
Studying in London is invaluable – it’s so rich in galleries, museums and exhibitions. As an artist, knowledge and inspiration is vital. It’s also a multicultural city where you can discover people, food and culture from all around the world - it's very rewarding.
If moving to a house share in London, I’d advise new students to meet their future housemates as it’s important that you get along. They will be your family away from home!
