Course overview
Learn the basics of creating animations and using the Procreate Dreams app. Procreate Dreams is an increasingly popular software amongst illustrators, artists and content creators wanting to create animations and social media content.
Taught through a combination of illustrated lectures, practical exercises, 1-1 feedback and sharing within group sessions, this course provides an insight into creating engaging animations using the Procreate Dreams app.
Students will learn the fundamental skills of animation and analyse and experiment with a wide range of animation styles, from character animation to moving image, that can be applied to any software and/or method of animating.
By the end of the course, students will finish with an artistic and technical 'toolkit' necessary to create engaging animations on the Procreate Dreams app and have built a portfolio showcasing their industry-recognised skills.
To get the most out of the course, students are advised to spend time on assigned weekly tasks outside of class, equivalent to a minimum of 2 hours.
Who this course is for
This intensive online course is aimed at beginners with little to no experience in animation or using the Procreate Dreams app. No animation or drawing experience is required.
It would benefit illustrators, creatives, content creators, and indeed anyone interested in working with animation. It is also an excellent fit for individuals who are aspiring to study animation, work in the animation and games industry and/or make short films and experimental moving image content.

Kate Sullivan
Kate Sullivan is an award-winning animator/designer/director and documentary filmmaker. Since graduating from the Character Animation PG Cert (now MA) at CSM, she's worked on a wide variety of high-profile content. Clients include Cartoon Network, BBC, Ch4, Zeekay Junior, CITV CBeebies, CBBC, Google and NBC. Recent work includes designing and animating titles, credits and establishers for BBC2's Upstart Crow, character animation for Doctor Who and films for renowned journalist, Misha Glenny. As an independent documentary filmmaker, she has won many awards and gained much critical acclaim. Her work has been displayed in galleries and film festivals around the world.
