Course overview
This 5-week evening course at London College of Communication offers a practical introduction to animation principles, frame-by-frame and rotoscope digital animation.
During the course, students learn how to create simple, hand-drawn animation sequences on an iPad using Procreate and Procreate Dreams.
Topics covered include layout, colour theory, drawing tools, movement and working with layers. Students complete at least 4 guided short animation sequences and gain the skills needed to start creating their own animations. Whether you want to study animation at a higher level or to learn how to enhance your social media content, this inspiring course offers the perfect introduction to a new way of expression.

Tutor
Andreea Stan
Andreea is an illustrator, animator, digital designer and arts educator based in London. Her bold and highly stylised work is infused with stories collected through everyday experiences. Using colour theory and geometric principles she is able to translate complex ideas into accessible and appealing design. Andreea has been working with a number of clients including the Roundhouse, artist Rooms at TATE, BBC British Sign Language Broadcasting Trust, BBC Radio 1 Xtra and Centre for Sustainable Fashion.
