Course overview
This course explores the key aspects of screen design, from script analysis and interpretation to research skills, development of concepts, design approaches and finding interesting ways of presenting ideas.
You will finish the course with an introductory knowledge of the skills required by the film industry such as spatial awareness, model making and technical drawing.

This course is suitable for anyone interested in art direction for film, regardless of prior experience. Beginners are welcome, as are those looking to expand existing knowledge.

Tutor
Georgina Shorter
Georgina Shorter trained as a set and costume designer at Central Saint Martins. She has worked in the film / television industries for over 20 years in a variety of areas - art department, wardrobe, festivals, events and education. She is a published author and currently works as an assistant set decorator for HETV (High End TV) and film.
