Course description

Course overview

Taught through a combination of lectures, practical exercises and discussions, this week-long course provides a practical insight into the field of interior design for 16- to 18-year-olds.

The course explores a variety of topics to be considered when designing, from interpreting a brief and creating a strong concept to coming up with a layout and space planning to respond to the site’s constraints.

Students gain an insight into material sourcing, colour palettes and lighting and have the opportunity to represent and pitch their projects to others.

This course is aimed at students aged 16 to 18 who would like to explore the interior design industry before committing to a potential career path.

Materials

Everything needed to complete the course is provided, but please feel free to bring any current sketchbooks or materials you enjoy using.

If you can, please bring some cardboard e.g. old cereal boxes (no need for new material).

Having worked for renowned industry studios she built herself a network of reliable suppliers who are supporting her work in both the high end residential and commercial sectors. Her London based studio Busilis covers Architecture, Interiors and product design controlling all aspects of construction from start to finish.
