Building Confidence and Emotional Intelligence for Business Short Course
Course description
Course overview
The Building Confidence and Emotional Intelligence for Business Short Course is an intensive and practical short course taught through a series of lectures, practical exercises and some (optional) out-of-class exercises.
Facing targets and deadlines, handling high-stakes situations, be it exams, job interviews, conflict resolution, stakeholder presentations, or dealing with life's setbacks such as project failures, redundancies etc are often costly to our mental and emotional wellbeing.
The course explores the concept of 'confidence' and examines the different ways of building up its three fundamental components: confidence, self-confidence, and self-esteem. Students will uncover strategies on how to deal with 'imposter syndrome' and look at the difference between achieving goals and having a purpose.
The course offers an insight into some of the reasons behind confidence issues and considers various strategies and practical habits to address them. Students learn practical skills to build and sustain the ability to not only do well, but also to manifest worth and full potential.
