Course overview
Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign is a comprehensive and hands-on course which will introduce you to digital design using these three applications and how they can work together.
The course will introduce you to formats such as bitmap and vector graphics and how best to use the different image file formats. You'll explore a variety of processes including design and layout, workspaces, tools and palettes, importing files and saving files for onscreen and print output. You'll also learn some simple tips on using basic keyboard shortcuts to improve workflow.
This course is available both on campus or online.
Who this course is for
Anyone looking for a sound introduction to the capabilities Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. You could be a digital design student, home user or a digital design professional.
Please be advised that this is an intensive course and you will need to be confident using a computer and working with new software interfaces.

IMPORTANT - Adobe ID Login for Short Course Students
Students will need to create an account with Adobe (unless you already have one) in order to access the Adobe suite at the college; instructions are included below. You will need to use a personal email address to create this. If you already have an account with Adobe, please make sure you bring your login details with you on the first day of the course.
Please note:
- Creating an Adobe account is free
 - The software will only be accessible when logged into a UAL networked computer
 - The same account can be used outside of the University, but software will only be accessible through a personal paid subscription that students will need to set up independently
 - You can still create an account on the day but doing this beforehand will save time and avoid delays to the start of the class
 - If you already have an Adobe ID/ subscription you can use this on your short course rather than setting up a new account
 
To create an account students will need to:
- Go to Adobe Sign in page
 - Select 'Create an account'
 - Enter your details and select 'Create account'

Tutor
Claire Parry
Claire Parry is a freelance graphic designer and a qualified teacher with a Foundation degree in Typographic Design and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. Working in studios and publicity departments, Claire has gained considerable experience of corporate and promotional publications, information graphics and Adobe's Creative Cloud. 
She is currently working as a specialist contractor on promotional design projects for Bechtel - a global company, whilst continuing her teaching in graphic design and computer graphics at the University of the Arts London.
Suky Best
Suky Best is a fine artist who works with print, video and animation. She uses digital technology to extend and develop her work. Alexander Hough
Director and Designer at work-form design studio, Alex brings his experience of motion design and art direction to many of the studios projects. Alex is a lecturer in Graphic Design at Camberwell College of Arts and University of Greenwich. Alex is also treasurer of Typocircle.
