The first four classes will cover digital image composition, creation and editing through assignments and exercises, firstly in photography and Photoshop. This is to establish a complete grounding in image theory which is applicable across the other three applications covered in the course.

There are three core elements to this:

  • Compositional: to establish a realisation of the portfolio of elements which enable the repeated creation of successful images
  • Conceptual: a development of an individual aesthetic or way of seeing which identifies a voice or identity in the artist / image-maker

The second half of the course continues these elements through the other applications - Illustrator for vector-based graphics, InDesign for interactive media and layout, and Premier Pro, for filmmaking.
