Course overview

This 5-day course combines hands-on exercises, technical demonstrations, brief lectures and engaging discussions to inspire creativity and help you bring unique ideas to life using professional digital design tools.

During the course, you'll learn how to design a magazine while gaining practical experience with industry-standard software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. You'll learn to develop design skills and explore ways of creating impactful, thoughtful and unique work, and develop an understanding of how to use digital tools to turn your creative ideas into outcomes.

By the end of the week, you'll have learned design skills and gained an understanding of graphic design software and how it can improve your projects. You'll have also produce examples of work to demonstrate your learnings and gain tools to start building a future portfolio.

Urjuan Toosy (she/her) is a freelance graphic designer, associate lecturer, and design mentor based in London. She teaches BA Graphic Design courses at Kingston School of Art, Ravensbourne University, and Richmond American University. Her portfolio includes collaborations with renowned brands such as FARFETCH, Dickies, Dr. Martens, NIKE, The North Face, Sony, and Lululemon.
