This course follows on from our Introduction to Fashion Buying and Merchandising Short Course and will give you the tools you need to follow into the buying pathway in your career.
With the use of up-to-date case studies, lectures and workshops this fashion buying course will explore the more complex aspects of the 'fashion buyer' function. You'll receive handouts to create an art director's handbook, and personal feedback to help you progress your career.
Online students can also request an outcomes review of their final project.
This course is available both on campus or online.

This short course is ideal for anyone looking to explore buying techniques in the fashion industry, with a focus on developing up-to-date practical skills and knowledge in this exciting field.
The projects you'll be asked to undertake involve mathematical formulae, therefore it's essential you have an understanding of maths to GCSE level C or equivalent.

Helen Joslin
Helen Joslin has over a decade of industry experience in buying and merchandising, working across the high street for large multi brand department stores. Specialising in menswear Helen has extensive experience buying and merchandising across multi-product categories for companies such as Arcadia and Debenhams. Outside of her buying career Helen is currently launching her own e-commerce website.
Eddie Knevett
Eddie is a highly successful and respected fashion accessories buying manager with a wealth of experience in buying and merchandising for branded luxury for multi brand department stores, premium and luxury brands as well as premium own label brands.Experienced in creating destination retail concepts for example strategically taking House of Fraser accessories from a high street own label offer to one of the largest premium and luxury offers within the UK. Eddie has built successful working relationships with numerous luxury brands including Hermes, Cartier, Gucci, Prada, YSL, Chloe, Givenchy, Mulberry, Anya Hindmarch, Paul Smith Michael Kors, to name a few. Working with these brands on both an own bought, concession and branded shopfit basis.
As well as teaching Eddie works with various international fashion brands and retailers on a consultancy basis.
