Introduction To Fashion Exhibitions Online Short Course
Course description
Course overview
The Introduction To Fashion Exhibitions Online Short Course is designed to offer students an insight into the world of fashion exhibitions through a combination of theory and practice.
During the course, students look at key theories relating to exhibition making which highlight the thinking process behind curating.
The course explores the history of fashion exhibitions from the beginning of the 20th century to today, considering how fashion exhibitions emerged from supportive exhibition spaces to driving the masses to museums.
Students have the opportunity to 'visit' digital/online fashion exhibitions and refer to case studies to develop their understanding of the subject. One of the key objectives of the course is to create a concept proposal for a fashion exhibition.
