Course description
Course overview
Do you want to discover how to report from the catwalk shows, co-ordinate a fashion shoot and create cutting edge fashion content? Do you dream of working for a fashion magazine or becoming a successful fashion blogger or influencer? Are you passionate about fashion and love writing? If you are interested in taking the first steps towards an exciting career in fashion journalism, or just enjoying fashion writing, then this is the course for you.
Who this course is for
The course is suitable anyone who has a good grasp of English and an eye for fashion, including beginners. No prior knowledge of the subject is needed, although fashion experience is always welcome.
It is also aimed at those looking for an insider's overview of fashion journalism, for those looking to change career, those who want to develop and improve their writing skills, or for those who just want to test the waters and see if this could be a field they might want to work in. This course would work well paired together with an additional fashion styling course. As part of the course we will visit a Fashion exhibition in a Gallery or Museum.
Fashion Journalism could be the springboard needed for those wanting to get published online or in print, those wanting to start their own online platform, and those looking to get a job with a magazine or fashion brand.
