Fashion Marketing and Communication LCF for 16 to 18 Year Olds Short Course

Course description

This 5-day course on fashion marketing and communications uses interactive lectures and practical exercises including roleplay and debates, to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the field.

During the course, students will explore marketing mix theories while applying concepts through in-class talks and daily homework assignments. The course will integrate technical devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops to maintain engagement. Platforms like Menti.com and Instagram will be used to foster an inclusive learning environment.

The course is designed for individuals aged 16-18, regardless of their prior experience in fashion marketing and communications. To get the most out of the experience, students will be expected to dedicate at least 1 hour per day to assigned tasks outside of class, which can be completed in the library at London College of Fashion.

By exploring contemporary case studies from fashion companies, students will develop the confidence needed to navigate their future professional paths. Previous students have successfully pursued art foundation courses and internships in fashion marketing, leveraging their coursework and final marketing strategy portfolio to apply for undergraduate programs.

Please note: this course includes an off-site educational visit to Westfield Shopping Centre (Stratford).

Course outcomes

By the end of the course students should have:

  • Planned a fashion marketing mix

Who should attend?

This course is aimed at students aged between 16 and 18 with an interest in fashion marketing and communication.

The course is designed for all levels from school leavers to those already enrolled in college. It would be an ideal gap year opportunity between secondary school and college/university.
