Course description

Haute Couture embroidery is a skill that requires patience, commitment and an in-depth knowledge of the unique needle skills and techniques which have been handed down over centuries.

During this course you will learn the fundamental techniques of Haute Couture embroidery as they are taught and practiced in France. You will use a variety of luxurious materials and begin to understand the patience and skill required to create the beautiful, hand-crafted pieces found on the most elite catwalks of the world.

Course outcomes
By the end of the course students should have:

• Learnt about Haute Couture hand-embroidery techniques and how to apply them
• Worked with a range of luxurious materials to practise skills
