Course description

Course overview

This course will provide you with an overview of some of the most important themes and debates around contemporary art since 1980 to the present. The course is organised thematically and although all levels are welcome it is conceived as a continuation to the Modern Art History short course.

Each week, the class will be exploring a different theme through some selected relevant texts, information delivered by the teacher - providing a context, chronology and examples - and, most importantly, through the direct interaction with the art on display at different galleries and museums in London, including visits to temporary exhibitions.
