Course description

Course overview

Where does inspiration come from, and how do artists and designers turn ideas into creative outcomes? This intensive course guides you through a personal journey, from initial concept to a portfolio of interconnected works across different media.

Beginning with group activities, research, and experimentation, you'll learn to stay open to your surroundings and embrace the unexpected as a source of creativity. You'll work in a supportive, dynamic environment that encourages you to develop your individual creative potential.

By the end of the course, you'll have produced a strong body of work, including sketchbooks, studies, and designs, that can be included in your portfolio.

There will be a research trip outside of the College to a museum, gallery or other location. Students will be accompanied from and returned to College if required. Any entry tickets will be provided, but students will need to cover the cost of travel.
