Portfolio Preparation For Art College Short Course
Course description
Course overview
The application to Foundation or BA courses can be a difficult process, however with this course you will gain help to prepare your portfolio and get ready for interviews. You will be expected to produce work for your portfolio during class time and complete work in your spare time.
The aim of the course is to inform students about the application process to Foundation or BA courses in Art and Design / Fine Art. This covers information on key dates, writing the personal statement, development of new ideas and skills through a variety of workshops (life drawing, still life, layered linocut, monoprint, collage).
This course encourages experimentation and idea development. It is recommended to students to prepare potential portfolio materials or ideas for future artwork and bring them in on an allocated day. The timetable for these individual tutorials will be agreed on the first day of the course.
