Course description

Course overview

This inspiring short course offers an exciting journey of self-expression and creativity. Through a combination of illustrated talks and hands-on exercises, students develop their skills and understanding. The course offers a great opportunity to experiment with a variety of dry media, 3D materials and explore how and why artists get ideas from the materials they use.

Students explore unique themes and learn how to use art to communicate thoughts about themselves and the world around them. Students are encouraged to expand on their work and share their progress throughout the course.

During the course, students develop their own unique artistic voice through guided projects and explorations. The aim is to engage with a wide variety of concepts and materials. Students benefit from informative feedback sessions to refine their skills.

This course is available in two formats: a 5-week evening course or a 2-day course.

Who this course is for

This course is aimed at anyone interested in exploring different making techniques. All levels are welcome, from complete beginners keen to explore drawing to experienced artists seeking fresh perspectives. No previous experience is required.

Rod Judkins

Rod Judkins is a London-based artist, illustrator, designer and writer. Since graduating from the Royal College of Art he has had numerous solo exhibitions in London and abroad. He teaches on conceptual-thinking seminars at many colleges and has written two books, The Art of Creative Thinking, and Change Your Mind: 57 Ways to unlock Your Creative Self.
