Course overview

The Playwriting for Beginner's Short course is a unique opportunity to kick-start or further your creative writing. You will be introduced to the art of writing plays in a lively and stimulating atmosphere to create your own series of works.

Led by a professional playwright, you will use a range of exercises and techniques to unlock your creative writing skills.

Before you know it, you will be generating your own original characters, developing dramatic relationships, writing dynamic dialogue and creating scenes and stories that engage an audience.

As an important part of the process, you will also have the opportunity to work with professional actors who will workshop a selection of what you write and give a small, informal performance of your favourite pieces at the end of the week.
