Course description
Course overview
This beginner-friendly course is perfect for anyone interested in design and considering further study in film or art. You'll explore the world of set design by learning about some of the most renowned set designers and influential directors, as well as the different roles within the art department and how they collaborate with the rest of the film crew.
You'll gain insight into single and multi-camera techniques and the use of different camera shots on location and in the studio. Guided by your tutor, you'll respond to a TV show design brief, translating your ideas into mood boards and a scale model, and learn how to break down a short film script or scene into a sketch of a potential set.
