Photographers' London Short Course

Course overview
This photography course is for people who may be new to photography or new to London. During this weeklong course, your classroom will be a combination of lectures and crits at the Kings Cross campus and photographing practical projects with your tutor 'in the field' at various London destinations.
This course will not include any darkroom practice, so students are asked to budget for their own developing costs, as well as a travel card to cover visits around London.
Who this course is for
This course is suitable for anyone interested in developing photography skills, regardless of prior experience. Beginners are welcome, as are those looking to expand existing knowledge.
This is a Summer School only short course running only once a year. We encourage early bookings to secure your place.

Topics covered
Each day is designed to get students out to see London and pair a specific camera mode with a photographic project. Gradually you will move from auto and semi-automatic modes to graduating to a full understanding of the manual mode and camera operation
Students will have one project per day that will not only progress the practice of camera mechanics and exposure creation but also serve as tasters in the genres of urban/street, advertising, editorial. architectural, travel, and art photography
There will also be an introduction and practice of photo-editing and presentation skill development as each project brief will have this built into the post-mortem of the photographic shoot

Materials
- Any type of camera with the option to shoot in manual mode
 - 10 examples of past photographs in print form (mistakes encouraged) for discussion and critique
