Photography Professional Practice And Academic Portfolio Course

Course description

This 20-week course is delivered through a combination of lectures, technical lessons and practical exercises. The aim is to teach students a range of skills using analogue and digital to enable them to develop their own practice.

The Photography Professional Practice And Academic Portfolio Short Course explores a broad range of techniques based on the student’s interests to enable them to develop their own portfolio and personal style of photography.

The course offers a foundational overview of the various processes of photography from analogue to digital and would be beneficial for anyone wanting to create a portfolio to apply for a degree or MA course.

To get the most out of the course, students will be expected to work around 4 hours outside of class to produce and engage with their own practice. This may be in the form of briefs or self-directed research.
