Course overview
Ideal for beginners, this two-day short course aims to equip students with the skills needed to create and read crochet patterns through a combination of practical exercises and workshops.
During the course, students explore different types of yarns and fibres and their properties and master foundational stitches such as chain, single, double and treble crochet.
Students learn how to apply these stitches to make 2 or more different types of granny squares, and the final outcome is a portfolio of granny squares or a simple granny square bag.

This course is aimed at anyone interested in crochet, an exciting and less-known textile technique. The course aims to equip students with the skills needed to create and read crochet patterns, enhance their fashion design portfolio or explore a new creative outlet.
No previous experience in crochet is needed as students will be taught the basics before moving on to more complex techniques.
