Course description

Course overview

This unique course offers you the chance to create a complete project in knitwear design.

You will gain hands-on experience of a range of fashion knitwear techniques, including pattern calculation, creating a variety of trims and garment assembly on the machine, the over locker and linker. You can then choose to accumulate your learned techniques into a final design and garment.

This is an intermediate course and does require prior experience of a knitting machine, and you will have ideally already completed a beginners course covering the basics.

Who this course is for

This course is suitable for those who wish to extend their textile knowledge into a fashion context, and who would benefit from portfolio-building skills. Students must have prior experience of a knitting machine, ideally having completed the beginners course - or similar. Prior experience of garment making is not needed.

This is a Summer School only short course running only once a year. We encourage early bookings to secure your place.
