Freddie O'Reilly

Freddie O'Reilly is a Senior R&D Fellow in XR Textiles and Dress at the UAL Fashion, Textiles, and Technology Institute. As an industry professional in CGI and texture creation, Freddie brings technical expertise to the exploration of digital textiles and garments within immersive, real-time environments.

Freddie is part of the XR Lab, a cutting-edge facility supported by AHRC funding and developed in collaboration with industry leaders including Sony, Lux Machina, and Brompton Technology. Freddie’s work focuses on pushing the boundaries of realism and interactivity in virtual garment simulation, utilizing tools such as Carbon, Clo 3D, Unreal Engine, and the Adobe creative suite to drive new methodologies that connect creativity, technology, and sustainability.
