Biography
Sally Denton has over 20 years of experience in fashion, luxury craft, digital publishing, and future trends in the UK and Internationally, with a focus on sector, organisation and business development. As Associate Director of Academic Partnerships at UAL’s Fashion, Textiles and Technology Institute (FTTI), she works to connect academia and industry through collaborative knowledge exchange projects that drive innovation.
Sally’s expertise includes working with partners to explore new opportunities, managing funding programmes, and supporting sustainable growth across the fashion and textiles sector. She has developed and overseen initiatives that help businesses address industry challenges while fostering ethical and environmentally responsible practices working with the likes of British Council, London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC), Fashion District, Crafts Council UK, British Fashion Council, Arts Council England, Innovate UK, Greater London Authority (GLA).
Her work reflects a practical understanding of both creative and commercial needs, combining a forward-thinking approach with a commitment to sustainability, innovation and collaboration. Through her role with FTTI she aims to develop lasting partnerships across academia and industry that will support resilience and sustainable growth in an evolving industry.
