Join Youngsook Choi and Jessica Wan in a collective reading, writing, and a meditative tea ceremony.

Following the warmth and resonance of its first launch at Delfina Foundation in May, Dismantling Total Station 02 deepens the collaboration between Youngsook Choi and Jessica Wan through collective reading, writing, and a meditative tea ceremony. Building on the first edition’s exploration of interspecies grief and kinship, this session turns toward the African-Caribbean, Asian & African Art in Britain Archive, part of the Special Collections at Chelsea College of Arts Library. Participants will engage in collective readings drawn from this archive to reflect on shared histories, diasporic memories, and the politics of visibility within artistic practices.

The workshop unfolds through the gradual rhythm of pu-er, rooibos, and hibiscus tea tasting. Through slow, embodied attention and shared sips, the ceremony invites participants to attune to the body as a vessel for listening, remembering, and transformation.

Together, we will blend a variety of teas as an act of decolonial solidarity—a gesture of care that connects distant geographies and shared histories. Through this process, we will write, reflect, and dwell within the unfinished threads of grief and renewal, allowing personal and collective voices to emerge in openness to what healing and shared meaning-making might yet become.

This event is kindly supported by TrAIN and Art Fund.

Venue: Red Room (Block B), Chelsea College of Arts, SW1P 4JU.
