Monsoon Accessorize PhD Research

Monsoon Accessorize fund a 5 year PhD at Central Saint Martins (CSM) which aims to produce innovative new textiles for the fashion industry.

The PhD has been awarded to Cassie Quinn, who is based in The Living Systems Lab Research Group at CSM. She is researching how to use wastewater to grow materials for the fashion industry that can be used in a meaningful way.

Monsoon Accessorize regularly meet with Cassie for updates on this pioneering work and to develop future collaborations.

Sheepdrove Trust Post Doctoral Research Fellowship

Sheepdrove Trust support a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Centre for Sustainable Fashion. This 3-year position addresses the need for transformative change in the fashion industry.

The latest Fellowship funding enabled an in-depth analysis of organic systems and how they can be applied within fashion.

The research outcomes significantly contribute to the advancement of understanding of sustainable practices. They also help develop solutions to key environmental, social, cultural and economic challenges within the industry.
