Students should only use the UAL or College logos where activity is funded by UAL or the College:

  • Any use of the logo must be signed off by the UAL Brand or relevant College Communications team.
  • Include a prominent statement that the work has been created by a student as part of their course or in association with UAL/College.

Degree shows

Our logos should always be used on degree show materials as the Shows are a core activity for the organisation.

Events

If students are arranging events that are not funded by UAL, it's important to identify these as independent events and not use the College name or logo.

Include this disclaimer both on marketing materials and on correspondence with venues, sponsors and suppliers around your event: "This is an independent event organised by XXXX. All event content and views expressed are our own and not endorsed by College Name, UAL."

Print

College logos should be used on the reverse or the inside reverse cover of any print, along with descriptor text about UAL/College.

Websites

If you create a website:

  • Your College logo should be used in the right-hand corner of the header or the footer, but not as the main logo on the page.
  • Descriptive text about course and/or College should be included.

Social media

If you create a social media account:

  • Don't use the UAL or College logos, refer to UAL and/or your College in text.

Sponsorship

Students shouldn’t use the University or College logos or branded templates when approaching industry or external organisations for sponsorship or project support.

If this is necessary, then it should be done in conjunction with a College department using the University/College templates and approved by a member of UAL/College staff.

Logos

Alumni should only use the UAL or College logo where activity is funded by UAL or the College:

  • Use of the logo should always be signed off by the alumni team, and include a prominent statement that the work has been created in association with the University.

Events

Only use the logo on posters, leaflets or digital campaigns to promote an alumni event if it's funded by the College/University.

Print

Where alumni need to illustrate their connection to the College, they should do so in text, rather than using the logo.

Websites and social media

If you create a website:
  • UAL/College logos should be used in the right-hand corner of the header or the footer, but not as the main logo on the page.
  • Descriptor text about UAL/College should be included.

On social media:

  • University should be referenced in text, rather than using the logo.

Sponsorship

Alumni shouldn’t use the University/College logos or brand templates when approaching industry or external organisations for sponsorship or project support.
