Prepare for your exchange at UAL
Welcome Programme
Students are expected to attend the orientation week prior to the start of the academic block/semester. Students will be introduced to UAL’s facilities at these orientation sessions, which aim to help students adjust to life at UAL, as well as provide insights into academic differences, living in London and health and safety.
Tuition fees
International exchange students will not pay tuition fees whilst studying at UAL. Depending on the course, there may be additional material fees to pay.
It is important that students ask their home institutions what their home tuition fees will be while studying on exchange at UAL.
Arriving in London
Once you've been offered and have accepted an exchange space at UAL it's time to begin planning for your stay. Things you may need to consider both before and after arriving include:
- Ensuring you have the correct visa to study in London (where applicable)
- Enrolling at UAL. This is mandatory for all students.
- Securing accommodation
- Health Insurance
- Registering with a GP
Life in London
London is one of the creative capitals of the world. There's so much to do, see, and explore while you study here.
With a large transport system, several museums and discounts available to students- there's lots to do and see while on exchange.
