Clive Baillie Scholarship (MA)

The Clive Baillie Scholarship (MA) of £5,000 is available to 1 Home student accepted on the MA Graphic Media Design course at London College of Communication, University of the Arts London.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Clive Baillie Scholarship (MA) students must be:

  • Considered a home student for tuition fees purposes and;
  • Accepted on the full-time MA Graphic Media Design course at London College of Communication, UAL, starting in September 2024.

About

Clive Baillie is a founding partner and CEO of BLT Communications, one of Los Angeles’ leading creative agencies specialising in entertainment marketing. Baillie graduated from the London College of Printing and Graphic Arts (now London College of Communication) with a BA in Graphic Media Design in 1977.

His career as an art director in the industry has spanned over 3 decades, during which time he has worked on many high-profile movie campaigns for all of the top Hollywood film studios including Avatar, Titanic, The Avengers franchise, The Dark Knight, the latest Spider-Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy. This also includes successful campaigns for television series such as, The Sopranos, Game of Thrones, Band of Brothers, Modern Family, and Stranger Things.

Baillie is passionate about playing a broader advocacy role in the arts and education, in particular the nurturing of creative talent. In 2015, he launched the Clive Baillie Scholarship for Graphic Design.

The scholarship will be assessed based on financial need and academic merit. It will provide a contribution towards material costs and living expenses for the duration of the course.

Applications are welcome from those who are in financial hardship and those who will benefit from postgraduate studies to realise their full potential.

Applications for this scholarship must be made by filling in an online application form. More information is provided in the guidance notes:

Closing date: 11PM (UK Time), Sunday 21 July 2024.

Results will be announced late August to early September 2024.

Receiving payment

The scholarship will provide a contribution towards living expenses and course costs.

Living expense payments will be paid in termly instalments via BACS to the award recipient
