Diane Gowland

Biography

Diane Gowland has held a number of senior positions including Principal and CEO in Further and Higher education and holds a lifelong commitment to removing barriers, widening access to lifelong learning and developing relevant educational pathways.

She has chaired a number of working groups to support the skills and enterprise agenda in East London working closely with businesses to develop opportunities for students.

She also played an instrumental role in developing a new museum for London, The Fashion and Textile museum.

In 2005, Diane was awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion for the work she led at Newham college to encourage local regeneration.
