Teach Inspire Create is a podcast about creativity and education where host Matt Moseley, Chief Examiner Art and Design at UAL Awarding Body, chats to guests about how their different experiences and values influence diverse ways of teaching.

Each series is comprised of 8 episodes, featuring 8 different guests from the creative industries such as stylists, curators, theatre managers, sound designers and much more. Past guests include Kimmy Beatbox, one of the UK’s top beatboxers, who discussed disrupting stereotypes in the beatboxing industry and how they create unique sounds with just their body. Other previous guests include Suzannah Gabriel, a fashion photographer and graduate from LCF, who talked about combining social issues with traditional photography techniques, and Jamie Beddard, one of the UK's leading disabled theatre practitioners and co-artistic director for Diverse City.

Through stimulating discussions, the podcast aims to inspire everyone’s inner student and lead them to create new pathways of exploration in their creative practices. Each episode, our guests give a ‘provocation’ that aims to disrupt and challenge the listener’s thinking to use, explore and create with.

What can listeners expect from the new series?

In our upcoming series, we’ll be speaking to an exciting range of guests, such as:

Matt Moseley, Chief Examiner Art and Design and host of the podcast said:

“The Teach Inspire Create podcast was created to bridge the gap between those at the beginning of their creative careers and successful industry practitioners. Each podcast gives fledgling creatives an insight into how the guest progressed from ambition to actualisation, including hints and tips listeners can apply to their own development. The podcast is more than just an entertaining audio experience, it is a directly applicable teaching resource, enriching and supporting the learning of creatives from all starting points.

Over the years we have built a back-catalogue of episodes that cover a broad spectrum of creative industries. We’ve heard from performers ranging from stage to screen, opera to rock star. We’ve learned from artists who paint, make, write, sculpt, photograph, and everything else in between. We’ve joined media creatives as they share their expertise in the art of film making, music production, promotion, tech-development, graphic design, and much, much more.

We hope people love listening to Season 4 as much as we loved making it.”

Series 4 will be launching on Tuesday 11 March, with new episodes released weekly. You can listen on your favourite streaming platform. Please do share your thoughts and responses to the podcast on social media using the hashtag #TICPodcast.
