UAL Awarding Body are thrilled to announce the publication of our new AI Guidance for Centres. This document provides practical support to help centres navigate AI in our qualifications and empower students to explore AI as a creative tool, while maintaining responsible and transparent academic practices.
The guidance provides a clear explanation of centres’ responsibilities when using AI to support teaching, learning, and assessment, as well as our expectations around whether students can use AI to generate evidence for assessment. It also outlines our approach to using AI for marking and reaffirms our commitment to monitoring and innovating qualification delivery and assessment using AI.
We have also published updated Individual Candidate and Group Authentication Forms, featuring a revised declaration regarding AI-generated content. The updated forms now require students to confirm that their work is their own and that any AI-generated content or contributions from others are properly referenced.
We encourage all centres to integrate these updates into their assessment processes. Let’s continue to empower learners and educators in a rapidly changing world – together!
You can access the new guidance and authentication forms in the Library.
