Biography

I am a designer, mentor and educator.

I began my professional career as a children’s shoe designer at Clarks and have extensive experience working as a women’s shoe designer on the British high-street and as a global senior shoe designer for Timberland. I have worked in the UK, US, Europe and Asia. Throughout my design career, I have led and collaborated on many cross-functional and hybrid teams. Currently my design work is focussed on footwear startups and SMEs as they develop their business, product creation, supply chain and sustainability strategies.

I am a sessional lecturer at Ravensbourne and the FRA on various undergrad and postgrad courses including Business Management for Fashion, Digital Marketing, Project Management and Buying & Merchandising. I am a regular guest speaker at the University of Limerick on their Product Design and Technology course and I am an accredited founder/startup mentor with The Portfolio Collective.

I hold a BDes in Industrial Design from NCAD (Dublin) and a Professional Development Certificate in Fashion (Footwear) from Cordwainers College.
