In 2021 our partnership with the luxury group LVMH entered a new 5 year phase under the name Maison/0, the Central Saint Martins-LVMH creative platform for regenerative luxury. Maison/0 is named in recognition of the historical and cultural significance of LVMH's 'Maisons' (Houses), with 0 symbolising the need to reset our creative practices to explore radical and creative models for a regenerative future.
Our partnership is committed to leveraging the agency of creativity and education to help regenerate our climate and biodiversity and to empower emerging talents to design a better future. We do this through 5 key areas: research and development; disruptive curriculum development, student and graduate projects (the 'Challenge Fund'); scholarships and awards.
For Earth Day 2021 we celebrated the next phase of our partnership with a special digital event featuring high-profile speakers from both partner organisations, including: Stella McCartney; Chantal Gaemperle (EVP Human Resources and Synergies, LVMH); Antoine Arnault (Image and Environment, LVMH); Jeremy Till (Head of Central Saint Martins); Alexandre Capelli (LVMH Group Environment Deputy Director) and Prof Carole Collet (Director of Maison/0) alongside Central Saint Martins students and graduates.
