Biography

I am an accomplished fashion designer, educator, and manager with extensive cross-cultural experience. Holding an MA in Womenswear Design from Central Saint Martins and pursuing a practice-based PhD at the Centre for Sustainable Fashion, London College of Fashion, UAL, my research critiques the exploitation of non-Western artisans and indigenous communities by the Western fashion system. Advocating for collaborative models that promote social innovation and cultural sustainability, I specialise in transnational education with eighteen years of experience spanning the UK, Vietnam, China, and Singapore. My industry roles include Womenswear Designer and Brand Owner in London, Shanghai, and Vietnam, with additional experience in production in Vietnam. I currently serve as Designer in Residence at LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore.

For the past decade, I have co-founded and led Fashion4Freedom (F4F), a social enterprise dedicated to empowering artisans and indigenous communities in Vietnam. My responsibilities encompass creative direction, product development, cultural preservation, research, and industry and education collaboration. In 2019, pieces from F4F’s label were acquired by the V&A Museum (London) for their Southeast Asian Department, underscoring my impact. In 2022, I received recognition for my philanthropic and cultural contributions in Vietnam.
