We seek to bring more global voices into the curriculum through hybrid workshops and bespoke lecture series.

Global Lecture Series

LCF Global's Lecture Series centre on thought-provoking topics in fashion that students should consider throughout their academia and careers in the industry. We maintain a strong tradition of hosting distinguished and inspiring speakers with a global influence. Through our Global Lecture Series, we promote discussions and debates on an international scale to engage our diverse communities of students, academics and alumni. The first lecture took place in London in 2022, featuring the esteemed designer, Dai Fujiwara, who spoke about his work with Issey Miyake and his latest project and exhibition, "Dai Fujiwara: The Road of my Cyber Physical Hands." More recently, LCF hosted a deep dive into the issue of child labour in fashion and supply chains, presented by Eleanor Harry, the Founder of HACE: Data Changing Child Labour.

Digital Passports - Joint LCF X KEA workshop

MA Fashion Design Management students from LCF and KEA Copenhagen School of Design and Technology took part in a joint online workshop as part of the collaboration. The universities came together to share ideas and build connections and learn more about the European Union (EU) plans to introduce digital product passports (DPP) and the impact this will have on the future of fashion markets.

Over a 2-hour workshop, the students investigated different companies including Stine Goya, Urban Outfitters and Stella McCartney to assess how these companies are meeting sustainability goals and adjusting to DPP criteria. Students also used this opportunity to chat and learn more about one another, making valuable decisions.
