London College of Fashion, East Bank, is part of east London's new cultural quarter on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and home to our 6500 students. Our new 13-storey building includes a variety of public spaces where you can experience, participate and engage with LCF, from exhibitions and galleries, community workshops, interactive and digital showcases, and access to our world-renowned fashion library and archives and café.
Featuring work from our design, communication and business schools, our students look beyond the traditional notions of fashion to imagine a new and exciting future and offer our visitors an unparalleled glimpse into the future of fashion.
Maker’s Square is where you can catch some of our students working in the open access spots right outside the Digital Learning Lab and the Fashion Innovation Agency’s base. Expect to see explorations of all things fashion tech, AI, metaverse and VR.
Draper’s Café sits in the foyer behind the front of house desk. It’s a welcoming space where you can relax and enjoy a range of drinks, snacks and treats after visiting one of our exhibitions.
The centrepiece of the public areas of the building is the stunning double-height atrium and staircase resembling a spiral 'orange peel' shape, with transfer beams and columns of a complex nature - all in exposed concrete with exemplary detailing, making this an impactful space to visit. The staircase leads visitors down to the display spaces on the riverside lower ground floor or up to Maker’s Square.
Our showcasing spaces host exhibitions, festivals, events and digital encounters. Exploring the role of fashion today, our Cultural Programme brings together creative collaborations with, students, staff, industry, and the local community.
