Availability of spaces at
London College of Fashion

As a working building, most of our East Bank spaces are in constant use by staff and students for learning and teaching, which includes Short Courses in holiday periods. This means that we are unable to hire or loan building spaces to partners or groups for meetings, events or away days.

Tours

There is so much to see on the three publicly accessible floors of our building, which include our regularly changing programme of exhibitions and our café, so we encourage guests to come and visit us.

We offer escorted building tours of the upper floors on a first-come first-served basis on Mondays and Tuesdays so as to minimise disruption to students and staff working. You can enquire about available space on these by emailing communications@fashion.arts.ac.uk.

All tours should be in groups of five people as a maximum, and should be escorted by a UAL staff member. We have teaching in the open spaces in the building so we ask that tours do not walk through spaces where there are students clearly working. Please also keep noise to a minimum on the upper floors. Tours will not be allowed entry into teaching rooms.

While all entrances to the building are at ground level with step-free access, with lifts and access needs toilets available on all floors, please note that the tour lasts around 45 minutes and takes us down 13 flights of stairs. If you or any member of the group have accessibility requirements, please let us know ahead of time and the team will adjust the route.

Filming and photography

Filming and photography can be disruptive to students using our building so we are unfortunately not able to accept requests for commercial filming and photography on site. We have a bank of building images that we can share for use.

Any requests for filming and photography at London College of Fashion should be directed to communications@fashion.arts.ac.uk, and any requests for filming and photography outside of the building should be directed to film@queenelizabetholympicpark.co.uk.

Meeting spaces

Unfortunately we do not have meeting spaces readily available to offer partners, particularly for larger groups. Our canteen space must be open for student access so cannot be completely closed for private events.

If a collaborative activity will benefit our student learning or careers we will explore any availability but free spaces in our building are extremely limited.
