Our world-leading Fashion Business School offers a diverse range of courses that cover the fundamentals of fashion business. If you're looking to gain a deeper, more specialist insight into the world of fashion management, then our integrated master's degree could be for you!

MSc Strategic Fashion Management combines undergraduate and master's level study in one degree, meaning you'll graduate with a postgraduate award.

We recently caught up with Dannah Cruz, a current MSc Strategic Fashion Management third-year student to hear more about her LCF experience.

How did you know MSc Strategic Fashion Management at LCF was the course for you?

While design and creativity initially attracted me to study fashion, what truly captivated me was how it worked behind the scenes. My course covers all aspects of fashion management, from marketing to brand strategies and consumer insights.

I’m especially impressed with how much the course focuses on sustainability, innovation, and digital transformation, which are key for fashion's future.

What attracted you to study an integrated master’s?

I had a clear interest and passion in this field so thought why not pursue this course at a higher level for another year. The fashion industry is competitive, so I I wanted to enhance my employability. Continuing with postgraduate saves time and money, and I know it will benefit me in the long run!

I have attended many talks by renowned fashion experts such as Stella McCartney and Roksanda, both on campus and at brand stores.

Can you tell us about a project you have worked or are working on?

I am currently researching consumer behaviour in Augmented Reality and in-store shopping experiences. It’s enjoyable because I can discover new insights and trends from conducting my own research and surveys.

It’s also a topic I’m genuinely interested in so I’m happy to put my critical thinking skills to test!

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of applying for the course?

Go for it! It’s broad and comes with so many transferable skills, such as financial literacy and data analysis. It’s more on the strategic side with creativity showing visually in reports. It’s a challenging but rewarding course.

What skills have you learned on the MSc Strategic Fashion Management that you have been able to practice outside of London College of Fashion?

I've learned many comprehensive skills from my course and used them in real life. For instance, while interning at a start-up fashion brand, I helped develop and put in place their brand strategy, including creating their brand identity and marketing plan.

Have you had interactions with fashion industry links throughout your studies?

Yes, I have attended many talks by renowned fashion experts such as Stella McCartney and Roksanda, both on campus and at brand stores.

I completed an 8-week work placement with a start-up digital fashion creative studio called Formless, run by a LCF graduate. I was a PR & Social Media intern and during my time there, I managed their online presence and was involved in event planning.

These experiences have really added to my education, giving me direct insight into the industry and practical skills.

What do you enjoy most about studying in London?

Studying in London is the dream because it's a major fashion city with famous designers and events like LFW. Being close to the action helps me learn and get involved in the latest trends. I've also met lots of industry pros and other students who are now my closest friends here.

The city is full of creativity, from street styles to exhibitions, which always gives me fresh ideas and inspiration!

Finally, how have you found the transition to East Bank?

The move to East Bank has been exciting! My favourite spot is the canteen on the 10th floor. It's not just about the food – the place has a great vibe and amazing city views. It's a lively social spot and a key part of my daily life on campus.
