I’m an artist and illustrator who has worked on editorial commissions for The Guardian, Independent, The Times and Financial Times and regularly exhibit my work. I have an MA in Illustration from the RCA and recently completed a practice-based PhD looking at the role of drawing in the regeneration of urban spaces at Manchester Metropolitan University. I’m interested in image making as an expanded practice and the social and cultural issues that incorporate cities, urbanism and lived experience. This research focus has led to a more contextual based approach to my practice and published academic writing alongside drawing.
As an Associate Lecturer at CSM I teach Stage 3 on the Narrative & Voice platform and on Unit 10. I was awarded a PG Cert in Teaching and Learning from UAL in 2008 and I am a Higher Education Academy Associate Fellow (FHEA).
