Biography

I am Acting Course Leader for MA Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins, UAL, focusing on industrial design education, professional development, and industry collaboration to help students bridge the gap between academia and practice.

As part of my role, I coordinate industry engagement across BA and MA courses within the Product, Ceramic, and Industrial Design department, fostering partnerships that connect students with professionals, businesses, and research initiatives. I have also played a leading role in the creation of Flourish at CSM, the college’s employer engagement event, which showcases how students—trained to challenge and expand their disciplines—can bring transformative value to industry.

With a background in design consultancy and entrepreneurship, I have worked across manufacturing, product development, and creative business strategies. Alongside my academic work, I co-direct Emma Lacey Limited, supporting its growth through design and operations. I am a Trustee at Arts Cabinet, a pluri-disciplinary research platform exploring different forms of knowledge production, and I have also mentored businesses through the British Library’s Innovation for Growth program.

My teaching approach is practical and student-focused, encouraging experimentation, critical thinking, and professional engagement to prepare students for the evolving field of industrial design.
