Biography

I am the Course Leader for MA Innovation Management at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, balancing this with consulting as a strategist, facilitator, experience/learning designer, and innovation coach. Previously, I was a Senior Lecturer and Course Leader on BA (Hons) Design Management at London College of Communication, UAL (2015–2024).

With over 20+ years of international experience across the UK, China, and Canada, I have worked as a creative director and strategist with global agencies, brands, and clients in experiential integrated marketing, digital strategy, and cultural branding. My work includes designing and managing large-scale corporate and cultural brand pavilions for the Olympic Games and World Expos, as well as directing public participatory projects and guiding organisations through global-local brand transformation, cultural intelligence, and digital innovation.

Since 2023, I have been working with an interdisciplinary team (including Design Thinkers Academy and Black Leadership Group) as a design innovation coach and equity-centred service design facilitator for the Mayor of London’s Workforce Integration Design Lab, supporting EDI and sustainability initiatives for organisations in healthcare, the creative industries, and the green economy. I’m also a Board Trustee of an East and Southeast Asian multidisciplinary arts organization, Kakilang.

In my research and creative practice, I apply ethnographic and equity-centred design thinking to creative pedagogies and social design projects, exploring design competencies, emerging identities, and EDI futures. I have an MA in Interactive Multimedia from the London College of Printing (now LCC, UAL) and a BA in International Relations and Asian Studies from the University of British Columbia. Additionally, I hold a PG Cert in Art and Design (HEA Fellow) and am currently completing ICF-accredited coaching training. I have presented research and facilitated workshops at Cumulus, AIGA, DRS, IAM, and the DesignOps Global Conference.
