33 staff and students from our BA Jewellery Design course will visit Munich next month to celebrate a diverse and lively approach to contemporary jewellery.
Showing for the first time in renowned furniture design company Vitsoe’s Munich showroom, ‘Shelf Life’ will consider the temporality of objects and the contrasting meanings behind the term ‘to shelve’ something, whether referring to discarding or drawing attention to an object.
“Shelf Life gives us the opportunity to celebrate the work of staff and students which reflects some of our diversity and achievements.” Caroline Broadhead, BA Jewllery Design Course Leader

The exhibition, taking place alongside Munich Jewellery Week (20 February – 1 March), is the second project in which staff and students will display their work as equals.
