Perhaps We Should Reconsider

Image is decorative

Perhaps We Should Reconsider includes the work of over 100 artists from the Postgraduate Art Programme at Central Saint Martins: MA Art and Science, MA Contemporary Photography, MA Fine Art and MA Fine Art Digital.

Through installations, performances, moving image, sculpture, and digital interventions, this cohort of artists embraces uncertainty as a space for creative potential. Their works reflect urgent concerns—ecological, political, personal—while gesturing towards speculative futures, untold histories and alternative ways of knowing.

This exhibition is not a conclusion, it resists all forms of certainty. It understands that truth is contingent and the process of making is one of rethinking, reworking, and reimagining. The artists interrogate what we take for granted, asking us to look again, think deeper, and, perhaps, reconsider.

The title encourages us to look again, to embrace disorder to suspend certainty and to reject simple narratives. This is an exhibition that embraces complexity by challenging its audience to sit with a tentative state of not knowing and to engage with work that is as dynamic, multifaceted, and as pivotal as the times we live in.

Associated work

Alongside the exhibition you will be encouraged to engage with a series of collaborative geo-locational sound works by MA Art & Science, MA Fine Art and MA Culture, Criticism & Curation in the vicinity of Kings Cross Granary Square. Please download the Echoes app beforehand to access the works.
