What is your name and where are you from?
My name is Jenia Shchedrova. I am from Russia but England has been my home for the last 8 years.
What is your occupation?
I run a small fashion studio in Canterbury, where I live. It specialises in making and altering event garments such as wedding dresses or bridesmaid dresses, etc.

What short course did you study on and why did you choose it?
I chose Create a Fashion Portfolio - Intermediate as I wanted to see what it is like to study fashion design at Central Saint Martins - and I can say it was by far the best learning experience I have ever had!

What did you enjoy most about your course?
Most of all I enjoyed discovering my abilities. At some point, and no matter how hard I tried, I felt like I was pushing a very heavy stone which would never move, but when it finally did, it opened up an absolutely new world to me. Amazing!

I was incredibly inspired by the course that I am now planning to apply for further education at Central Saint Martins.

What would you say to someone who is thinking about taking a short course at Central Saint Martins?
It’s 100% worth every penny. My experience was very inspirational, eye opening and crazily creative - just another level!

Being able to clearly demonstrate their vision to others
