Biography
Senior Lecturer on BA (Hons) Film Practice at London College of Communication.
Ian has over two decades of experience working in the film and television industries as a director of photography.
Ian's early work was with international documentary strands Equinox and Horizon, which gave him the opportunity to shoot around the world, mostly on film.
He later moved towards television drama and has a broad experience of different genres and types of production, from primetime drama to children's shows and independent feature films. More recently, Ian has worked on the children's series, 'Horrible Histories', and in second unit work on 'Endeavour' and 'Silent Witness'.
Ian has several projects in development which are exploring the potential of narrative filmmaking and the hybrid use of live-action footage/mocap, as well as new image generation tools such as Unreal Engine and Ebsynth.
