The area is fully equipped with:
Lithographic Printing is a teaching area that offers a bespoke print service, this includes plate making through print to finished product.
The team run workshops and inductions covering various techniques:
We have two inkjet printers capable of printing double side A1 format. We only use flat sheets of uncoated paper but can test various other substrates including book cloth and card.
There are two Riso printers available to book, a single colour and a two-colour machine. Both are A3 format and can run a wide variety of substrates. There are inductions on Tuesday and Friday mornings with open access Monday to Friday.
Cutting, binding, creasing, duplexing, coil binding, saddle stitching: these are just some of the techniques used in the Print Finishing room. You can experiment with everything from perfect binding to perforating and see how to turn your printed work into the finished article.
Please note: Resources may require inductions before allowing access and are prioritised for certain courses.
