Shift is a London-based design agency that uses design thinking to ensure organisations can maximise their impact within communities. Our shared ethos around using innovative practices to drive wider impact has led to many partnerships with them.
Nasser Milongo from BA (Hons) Graphic Branding and Identity developed the concept and identity for Mama Leys, which was purchased and curated by Shift for the launch of a fully functional, homemade food service operating in South London. MA Social Innovation and Sustainable Futures student, Rebecca Ghim, also joined Shift’s team as a Communication Design Officer, on a 4-month internship, as part of the Digital Grid Programme. She assisted in the strategy of Mama Leys’ launch and future operations in the community. BA (Hons) Graphic Branding and Identity and BA (Hons) Graphic and Media Design students have been a part of Shift’s ongoing work in Southwark and Lambeth, tackling ‘healthy food deserts’ within the area through a brief which aimed to build on the project's success the previous year.
The collaboration with Shift on multiple projects has been mutually beneficial and our students have been able to use their talent and innovative practices to drive social change.
